Activities Director (Engagement Director)

At Arbor Terrace Sudley Manor, we believe every day should bring purpose, joy, and meaningful connection. We're looking for a creative, energetic Activities Director (Engagement Director) to lead engaging lifestyle programs for our Assisted Living and Memory Care residents while creating memorable experiences that enrich their lives.

What You'll Do

As our Activities Director, you'll lead the planning and execution of a vibrant engagement program that celebrates each resident's unique interests and abilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and lead meaningful daily activities for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents

  • Plan community events, celebrations, outings, and family-centered programs

  • Create and maintain monthly activity calendars and resident newsletters

  • Encourage resident participation through creative, person-centered programming

  • Supervise and support activity team members

  • Build relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and community partners

  • Ensure programs support residents' physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being

  • Maintain activity supplies, documentation, and regulatory compliance

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is:

  • Creative, energetic, and highly organized

  • Passionate about enriching the lives of older adults

  • Comfortable leading both group and one-on-one activities

  • A positive leader who inspires both residents and team members

  • An excellent communicator with strong customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience in activities, recreation, life enrichment, or a related field

  • Experience working in senior living is preferred but not required

  • Experience supporting individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia is a plus
