ARM EnerTech Associates, LLC (AETA) is a wholly owned subsidiary of ARM Group Enterprises Inc. AETA is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Automation Controls Specialist will collaborate with a team of multi-disciplined Professional Engineers (P.E.), project managers, designers, end customers, and other staff to service our client's needs as well as gain unprecedented experience to grow and become a well-recognized industry expert. This role supports a wide range of projects related to solar, battery storage, automation, control systems, control panel design and power distribution.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with projects including design of controls systems, motor drives, programmable controllers, hardware, and instrumentation.
  • Support troubleshooting and maintenance of systems and devices.
  • Prepare, and update design drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Support on-site Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), system startup, and training functions related to PLC & HMI hardware and programming.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet deliverables on projects and obtain further knowledge and experiences.
  • Effectively communicate with key stake holders including project manager, project engineers, and other members of the project team.
  • Being to pro-actively recognize conditions and problems of non-routine nature, develop solutions, and seek guidance when needed.
  • Assist with writing technical documentation such as: Functional Descriptions, Functional Specifications, Test Documents, Reports, etc.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or GED/vocational training
  • 2-8 years experience in related fields such electrical engineering, design of industrial control systems and programming PLC/PACs, HMIs, VFDs and SCADA systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AutoCAD or equivalent engineering software.
  • A self-starter possessing strong communication, planning and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working around energized power distribution equipment and related control systems.
  • Requires travel to job sites including overnight stays to provide on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, customer support and training.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Basic PLC programming skills
