Job description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Director, Strategic Analytics to join our Cross-Buy Strategy & Analytics team in Wilmington, DE. In this role, you will drive the growth agenda for our Direct and Indirect acquisition channels, enhance customer experience, and manage overall profitability.

To excel in this position, you will blend your business acumen with a profound understanding of advanced statistical and analytical frameworks to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analytics, problem-solving, an investigative mindset, and cross-functional leadership, delivering actionable insights that support organizational objectives. They will exhibit a pursuit of excellence, high integrity, and a bias for action and speed.

In this Role:

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a deep understanding of multi-product data, uncover business insights, build and own strategies from concept to execution. You will have the opportunity to partner with various functional partner areas including Credit, Marketing, UX, Product, and Technology. Additionally, this role will routinely interact with the leadership team and be responsible for highly visible OKRs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop data-driven analyses to expand existing channels and develop new ones, deepen customer relationships, and enhance overall customer lifetime value.

  • Provide thought leadership in building frameworks for solicitation eligibility, personalization, messaging, touches, and in-app remarketing.

  • Manage key OKRs including annual originations, growth initiatives, delinquency performance, profitability, and customer experience.

  • Drive improvements in our ability to track and explain business performance through new analytical frameworks and techniques.

  • Partner with the Loans and Credit Card teams to influence leadership on credit decisioning, loan offers, pricing, terms, and origination processes.

  • Collaborate with other functional areas to bring a strategic and data-driven lens to decision-making; closely work with partners in the matrix organization, including credit, product, technology, UX, and finance.

  • Effectively prioritize competing initiatives; translate strategic priorities into tactical initiatives; communicate and manage expectations clearly.

  • Recruit, mentor, and manage one or several high-performing analysts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's degree preferred) in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, or Computer Science.

  • 7+ years of experience in complex, data-driven problem-solving.

  • Strong SQL and Python skills; proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel; hands-on experience with BI or data visualization platforms (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker) is a plus.

  • Experience with various statistical methods (sampling, hypothesis testing, time series and cohort analyses, residual modeling, decision trees, segmentation).

  • Innovative and capable of developing a highly analytical approach to solving problems; strong data and insights intuition, intellectual curiosity.

  • Strong drive to explore, learn, and get things done.

  • Ability to work independently, make sound, fact-based recommendations, and think strategically.
