Company Description

Founded in 1989, David Urbach owned and operated A-1 Windows & Doors LLC, serving Connecticut and the Farmington Valley. For 29 years, David Urbach remained an installer for his business, ensuring quality workmanship at a fair price. After 31 years, David Urbach decided to retire and spend more time with family and friends. As the new owner of A-1 Windows & Doors, Daniel DiMenna wishes David well in this next adventure.

As a Simsbury native and longtime carpenter, Daniel DiMenna began working with David in 2018 after a decade of home improvement carpentry in the area and began operating A-1 Windows & Doors as Owner & Operator in September 2019. Working alongside David, Daniel sought to understand David, so he could ensure A-1 Windows & Doors legacy lives on for decades to come. Daniel, to this day, remains one of A-1's installers & finish carpenters.
Our product range will cover most of your requirements from basic replacement windows & interior doors, to new construction windows, three-season rooms, commercial quality doors, patio doors, and interior carpentry - we will have a product to suit.

We can instantly give any room a face-lift. Not only do our products look great, but provide insulation against noise, dust, rain, pollution and rising energy costs, making them ideal for the most comfortable living conditions. They are also easy to operate and can be used to change the character of any room, extend it, or bring in more light.
