Role Overview
The Systems Administrator provides senior-level technical expertise to support enterprise technology modernization initiatives, including data center modernization and endpoint platform transitions. This role manages core infrastructure, cloud platforms, identity services, endpoint deployments, and server environments while providing Tier III operational support. The position runs from September 2026 through February 2027, with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Identity Administration
• Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Manage network infrastructure services, including DNS and DHCP configurations, domain consolidations, and identity modernization.
• Support server migrations, infrastructure modernizations, and cloud platform integrations.
Endpoint Management & Deployment
• Administer Microsoft Intune, Group Policy (GPO), and enterprise endpoint management systems to support workstation deployments and device lifecycles.
• Execute Windows imaging, endpoint configurations, and workstation platform transition projects across enterprise users.
• Troubleshoot complex endpoint, operating system, and deployment issues.
Operations, Documentation, & Tier III Support
• Provide Tier III technical support and day-to-day systems administration across enterprise platforms.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Participate in pilot deployments, production implementations, system testing, and operational readiness evaluations.
Required Qualifications
• 4 or more years of experience in Windows Server administration and Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID management.
• 4 or more years of experience administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and enterprise cloud infrastructure.
• 4 or more years of experience with Microsoft Intune, Group Policy (GPO), and enterprise Windows workstation deployment.
• 4 or more years of experience utilizing PowerShell scripting for administration, automation, and troubleshooting.
• 4 or more years of experience with core network protocols and services, including DNS and DHCP.
• 4 or more years of experience producing technical documentation, SOPs, and performing Tier III troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Workspace ONE and VMware virtualization platforms.
• Prior experience executing enterprise infrastructure modernization projects or server migrations.
• Public sector or government IT systems administration experience.
• Relevant Microsoft professional certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Enterprise Administrator).
Core Skills & Attributes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for Tier III infrastructure and endpoint troubleshooting.
• Excellent technical writing and documentation capabilities to support operational handoffs and knowledge transfer.
