Job Summary and Qualifications

Manages the daily operations and activities of the GI Endoscopy Unit. Responsible for the management of the department’s daily operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals and objectives established by Director. These responsibilities may include but are not limited to; planning, preparation and oversight of staff schedules; providing input into employee decisions related to hiring, performance assessment and disciplinary actions; The GI Endoscopy Manager develops collaborative working relationships with hospital leadership, physicians, and staff, both internal and external to the department and to accomplish these responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner. The GI Endoscopy Manager oversees and guides the staff to ensure the Department meets JCAHO standards and complies with corporate policy and procedures. The GI Endoscopy Manager is also responsible for managing supplies and equipment in the department, for promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, for promoting internal and external customer satisfaction and for appropriate resource management.


What qualifications you will need:
  • Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions) 
  • Graduate  from an accredited School of Nursing 
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date 
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date 
  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 3 years of Endo/GI or PACU clinical nursing experience in an acute care Hospital setting 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a full time Charge Nurse/ Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management in an acute care Hospital setting
