Job description

Beverage Canning Operator

We're seeking dependable, motivated individuals to join our fast-paced Beverage Canning team. If you enjoy working in a high-speed manufacturing environment and want a schedule that offers great work-life balance while still providing full-time hours and consistent overtime opportunities, this could be the perfect fit.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, thrives under pressure, and enjoys being part of a team that delivers high-quality products efficiently and safely.

Schedule:

Late Shift (4 x 12-Hour Shifts) Monday - Thursday | 2:00 PM - 2:00 AM

Early Shift (4 x 12-Hour Shifts) Monday - Thursday 2:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Three-day weekends every week (Friday-Sunday)

Consistent 48-hour workweeks

Overtime opportunities available

Additional overtime may be required on Fridays or weekends (up to 8-hour shifts) based on production or sanitation needs. Voluntary participation will be requested first whenever possible.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

Your shift begins with a team handoff, where you'll review line performance, production priorities, and any issues requiring attention. From there, you'll move onto the production floor, operating and monitoring high-speed beverage canning equipment.

Throughout the day, you'll closely oversee your assigned area of the line, whether that's the depalletizer, packaging equipment, or palletizer. Success in this role requires constant attention to equipment performance. You'll listen for unusual sounds, watch for slowdowns or faults, and respond quickly to keep production running smoothly.

When issues arise, you'll troubleshoot and resolve them efficiently, understanding that even minor disruptions can affect the entire production line. You'll work alongside a supportive team, communicating effectively and stepping in wherever needed to maintain productivity, quality, and safety.

At the end of your shift, you'll know you've played a key role in delivering quality products while keeping operations running at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on high-speed canning equipment, including fillers, seamers, packaging machines, and shrink wrappers
  • Monitor production performance to maximize efficiency, quality, and uptime
  • Respond quickly and effectively to equipment faults, alarms, and production issues
  • Identify mechanical concerns and partner with Maintenance when additional support is needed
  • Follow all safety procedures, GMPs, sanitation standards, and company policies
  • Support production needs through overtime as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of machine operation and troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Strong attendance, reliability, and accountability
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as business needs require
Critical Success Factors

This role demands a strong sense of urgency and continuous attention to equipment performance. Operators must actively monitor their machines and respond immediately to faults, jams, or production slowdowns. Delayed response times can impact the entire canning operation. Candidates who are proactive, attentive, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment will be most successful.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in food, beverage, bottling, canning, packaging, or other regulated manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of GMPs, food safety requirements, and quality standards
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 12 hours per shift
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb stairs and platforms, and safely operate production equipment
  • Ability to reach overhead and use hands for handling, grasping, pinching, and operating tools, equipment, and controls
  • Ability to effectively communicate and hear in a manufacturing environment
Compensation & Benefits
  • Starting Pay: $20.00+ per hour, based on experience
  • Late Shift Premium: Additional $0.50 per hour
  • Consistent Weekly Overtime: Standard 48-hour workweeks
  • Three-day weekends every week
