Starting Pay: $17-$20 an hour

2nd Shift- Plus an additional $1.50 an hour

3rd Shift- Plus an additional $2.00 an hour

Encore Wire is one of the nation’s top copper and aluminum wire manufacturers, outfitting residential, commercial and industrial spaces across the US for a customer base that would blow your mind! Producing over $1 billion of wire every year, with over 1,300 employees and almost 2 million sq. ft. of manufacturing space under our roof, we want to continue our history of growth. Encore is seeking individuals who are looking to join the production team as a Machine Operator. In this role, you will be on the frontlines helping make the wire that has made us who we are.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and inspects the machine for safe operation
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
  • Complies with safety policies, practices and procedures according to OSHA
  • Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or safety team
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
  • Essential functions and responsibilities will also include following supervisor’s directions and the additional requirements of the various jobs assigned.

Work Environment & Physical Responsibilities:

Duties are performed in a loud production setting subject to extreme temperatures. Some duties may be required to be performed outside. Comfortable with repetitive movement, kneeling, crouching and stooping. Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds while bending, twisting and/or standing.
