Annual Salary Range: $95 - $125K
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Encompass Developer to support, enhance, and optimize our loan origination system (LOS). This role will work closely with operations, compliance, IT, and third-party vendors to improve workflows, automate processes, and ensure the platform supports evolving business and regulatory needs.
The ideal candidate has strong Encompass administration and development experience, understands the mortgage lending lifecycle, and enjoys solving complex workflow and integration challenges.
Candidates who can work onsite in San Diego, CA or Kennesaw, GA are preferred; however, remote candidates within the United States will also be considered.
What You'll Do
Encompass Administration & Development
  • Configure, customize, and maintain the Encompass LOS platform
  • Build and enhance workflows, business rules, forms, and automation
  • Develop and maintain custom input forms and workflow functionality
  • Support system integrations with internal and third-party applications
  • Assist with REST API integrations and system-to-system connectivity
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve LOS-related technical issues

Project & Change Management
  • Partner with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements and design scalable solutions
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, release notes, deployment plans, and system change records
  • Perform impact analysis, testing, and validation prior to production releases

Process Improvement & Collaboration
  • Recommend workflow efficiencies and automation opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, compliance, IT, servicing, secondary marketing, and leadership teams
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications
  • 3 years of Encompass development, administration, or configuration experience
  • 3 years of residential mortgage industry experience
  • Understanding of the mortgage loan lifecycle from application through post-closing
  • Experience with Encompass business rules, workflows, and custom forms
  • Familiarity with mortgage compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Experience troubleshooting technical and workflow issues in a production environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Encompass Smart Client and Web versions
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, VB scripting, and API integrations
  • Experience with REST APIs and third-party LOS integrations
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
