Location: US Air Force Academy (USAFA)

Company Overview: Legacy EMS is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering high-quality emergency medical services. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Paramedic to join our team at the US Air Force Academy, as part of our USAFA contract.

Job Description:

As an EMT at Legacy EMS, you will play a vital role in providing medical care to individuals in need. Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Responding to emergency calls and assessing the medical needs of patients.
  • Administering necessary medical treatments and interventions in accordance with established protocols.
  • Transporting patients to medical facilities in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and emergency response teams.
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Currently certified as an EMT in the state of Colorado or NREMT.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
  • CPR certification
  • Strong clinical and decision-making skills in emergency situations, within EMT scope.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to obtain a flight line driver license (483).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • FEMA ICS Courses (ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700) Required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Able to pass a thorough background screening.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This contract works 24-hour shifts.
