Job description

Location: Skokie, IL
Type: Full-Time | 24/7 Operations
Position Overview
MedEx is hiring a Dispatch Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 24/7 ambulance communications center. This role demands flexibility, leadership, and a focus on delivering high-quality service in both emergency and non-emergency situations.
The Dispatch Manager will:
  • Lead and supervise dispatch personnel
  • Coordinate emergent and inter-facility response activities
  • Maintain compliance with operational and safety standards
  • Foster strong communication across internal teams and with external partners
  • Continuously improve dispatch processes and service delivery
  • Report directly to the Communications Center Director

Compensation: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of EMS Communications Center management experience
  • EMT-B or EMT-P license (preferred, not required)
  • EMD certification (preferred, not required)
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
