Position Summary: Assist in gathering, investigating, auditing, and tracking of safety information. Flight audits and investigations will be accomplished at the direction of SRC in conjunction with other departments and outside agencies. Audit and corrective action reports will be prepared and utilized for tracking and Company support. Assist with preparing technical investigation reports that will be utilized for tracking and Company support. All reporting must be comprehensive.
Major Job Accountabilities:
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of all appropriate Flight Quality Audit Program (FQAP) checklists, ensuring accuracy and applicability with current FAA Data Collection Tools (DCTs), IATA/IOSA Industry Standards and Recommended Practices (ISARPS), and DoD audit questions.
  • Analyze, review, and report on a regular basis all Flight Quality Audits and performance reporting, both internal and external.
  • Maintain the Flight Quality Audit Program (FQAP) database.
  • Audit Company Part 141 Partner Schools.
  • Support SRC Investigators during flight safety events
  • Write reports based on empirical safety and investigation data
  • Enter and track corrective action plans resulting from Flight Quality Audits.
  • Follow the yearly audit calendar and schedule.
  • Assist in soliciting safety process improvement or suggestions.
  • Assist with SRC leadership on solutions to identified trends, positive or negative.
  • Engage with other operating business units, including but not limited to Flight Operations, Ground Operations, and Technical Operations, to ensure identified areas of risk are properly managed and mitigated.
  • Provide timely advice and assistance on Company aviation safety matters through Company data.
  • Actively engage in the Company's Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Attend and act as Company representative at industry conference(s) as needed.
  • Accomplish other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably with aviation discipline) or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of Part 121 airline procedures; preferably holds either a Commercial Pilot Certificate (or higher) or Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate.
  • Must be self-starter, able to work with little supervision in fast paced environment.
  • Must successfully complete specialized Company training.
  • Demonstrated sound decision-making skills.

Special Demands:
  • Travel will be required (50%); must be able to travel without restrictions with little to no warning.
  • Working during non-traditional hours as needed (nights, weekends, holidays).
  • Maintain an on-call status and contact-ability during off duty hours for screening of safety related events.

Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Preferably familiar with AIMS, WBAT, CEFA, GE Aviation EMS, Veoci.

Competitive compensation will be offered based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity and other factors. In addition, a range of benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance, employee assistance program, as well as generous paid time off, and 401K contributions are offered as a part of the total compensation package.
