Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Culpeper, VA
Full-Time, Weekdays only
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
SaVida Health is a specialty medical practice providing outpatient opiate and alcohol addiction treatment services. SaVida Health's care model includes medical care, counseling, comprehensive toxicology testing, case management and medical management of psychiatric medications. SaVida provides compassionate and individualized treatment programs to support those with substance use disorder.
DESCRIPTION
  • Exhibits high levels of customer service, compassion, professionalism and empathy to all patients at all times, embracing the Harm Reduction philosophy of treatment for patients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD)
  • Works closely with the center administrator and medical receptionist in scheduling appointments and oversees patient flow in the office, practicing safe and healthy control methods while working with patients
  • Participates in provider meetings and staff meetings as determined by the Medical Director
  • Interprets test results to diagnose any health issues and provides feedback to patients
  • Counsels patients regarding medication compliance
  • Completes patient evaluations and physical exams with thorough, timely documentation to include coordination of care
  • Patient follow up visits to include detailed, timely documentation including patients' progress with medication and/or treatment
  • Contacts patients' PCPs and/or specialists when necessary
  • Reviews any unusual medication adjustments with the Medical Director

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • EMR software experience
  • Current license with prescriptive authority in good standing
  • DEA Certificate
  • Prior experience with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment preferred
