Job description

Henry Ford Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Hospitalist to join our collaborative, physician-led team at Henry Ford Hospital - Jackson, part of the Henry Ford Health System.
About the Position
This inpatient-only opportunity offers a rewarding role within a community hospital setting supported by one of Michigan's most respected healthcare systems. Clinical responsibilities include:
  • Attending deliveries with neonatal resuscitation
  • Caring for healthy newborns and hospitalized children up to age 18
  • Providing pediatric consultations in the Emergency Department
  • Managing infants in our Level II Special Care Nursery, including:
    • Prematurity (≥32 weeks)
    • Low birth weight (>1500 g)
    • Respiratory distress, infections, feeding issues, congenital anomalies

Procedures Performed:
  • Circumcisions
  • Umbilical central lines
  • Lumbar punctures
  • Frenotomies
  • Intubations
  • Emergency pneumothorax decompression

Schedule & Teaching
  • 12-hour in-house shifts on a rotating schedule
  • Opportunities for teaching medical students, transitional year interns, and Family Medicine residents
  • No fellowship required
