Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant EMR/PM Implementation Specialist to join our EHR Team. This role is responsible for reporting, workflow analysis, training, troubleshooting, implementation support, and ongoing optimization of Practice Management (PM), Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR), and Insurance Management processes across the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and reporting skills, extensive experience with eClinicalWorks, knowledge of Practice Management and Revenue Cycle Management workflows, and the ability to effectively train and support both clinical and administrative staff. This position plays a critical role in improving operational efficiency, patient care workflows, insurance processes, and financial performance throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide implementation, training, troubleshooting, and ongoing support for Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) and Practice Management (PM) systems across the organization.
  • Create and maintain financial, clinical, operational, revenue cycle, and insurance-related reports for leadership, providers, and office administrators.
  • Analyze clinical, administrative, billing, and insurance workflows and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and patient care.
  • Support Practice Management functions including scheduling, registration, charge entry, claims management, payment posting, and revenue cycle operations.
  • Assist with insurance management processes including eligibility verification, prior authorizations, claims submission, denial management, appeals, and payer-related workflows.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for providers and staff through onsite visits, group sessions, webinars, and one-on-one instruction.
  • Assist with MIPS tracking, reporting, submissions, and other regulatory or quality initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate with vendors for resolution, and support system upgrades, implementations, and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with providers, office managers, billing teams, and administrative staff to optimize system performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Provide EHR, PM, and insurance workflow support for more than 400 providers and staff across multiple locations.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and healthcare technology experience may be considered.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of EHR/EMR support experience in implementation, training, help desk support, or super-user roles.
  • Minimum of 2 years of eClinicalWorks experience strongly preferred, including Practice Management and reporting functions.
  • Experience supporting Practice Management systems including scheduling, registration, billing, claims processing, payment posting, and revenue cycle workflows.
  • Experience with insurance management processes including eligibility verification, prior authorizations, claims submission, denial management, appeals, and payer communications.
  • Knowledge of medical billing, coding, reimbursement methodologies, and revenue cycle management.
  • Experience generating and analyzing reports using EHR/PM reporting tools.
  • Experience with Crystal Reports, Cognos, SQL, or other reporting platforms preferred but not required.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system issues and identify root causes.
  • Experience with data analysis, workflow documentation, and process improvement methodologies preferred.

Physical Demands

The employee is frequently required to sit for prolonged periods while working on a computer; use hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and operating office equipment; and communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through virtual platforms.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, and lift or move up to 15 pounds. The employee must be able to travel to various office locations throughout Florida, including occasional overnight travel if needed.

The work environment is typically fast-paced and may involve frequent interruptions and multitasking requirements, with standard office noise levels including ringing phones, office equipment, and conversations among colleagues.
