Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Data Entry Operator to support daily healthcare operations through accurate and timely data entry. This role is responsible for entering and maintaining patient, insurance, and billing information within EMR systems while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with computers for extended periods, and able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Previous healthcare or home health experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and update patient, insurance, billing, and related information in EMR systems
  • Support patient care management through timely data processing and system reporting
  • Review and verify data for accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor and report missing or delayed documentation needed for data entry
  • Identify and escalate system issues impacting workflow efficiency or data accuracy
  • Perform routine system backups and maintain organized digital records
  • Assist with additional data entry and administrative projects as assigned
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and company information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of healthcare data entry experience required; home health experience preferred
  • Experience with EMR/EHR software strongly preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and database systems
