Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. Working alongside medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing support, acting as an advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional healthcare experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in status.
  • Carry out procedures or tasks as directed by the medical provider.
  • Accurately document care provided in the patient's medical record in a timely manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Stay informed about medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Qualifications Required:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
  • Registered Nurse license must be secured within 30 days of starting employment.
  • A Bachelor's Degree must be completed within 60 months of starting employment.

Situated between Highlands and Cashiers, we provide 24/7 emergency services, acute inpatient care, rehabilitation, and long-term care through our Eckerd Living Center. We also offer outpatient services, including therapy and primary care. Our facility has over 24 beds dedicated to acute care and more than 80 beds in the Eckerd Living Center.
