Job description

We are seeking a motivated, outgoing, and organized Employment Assistance Coordinator to join our campus team. This position plays an important role in helping students and graduates prepare for employment, connect with career opportunities, and successfully transition into the workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist students and graduates with resumes, interview skills, and job-search preparation.
  • Build relationships with local employers and identify employment opportunities for graduates.
  • Conduct employer outreach through networking, phone calls, and business visits.
  • Coordinate student externship placements and maintain relationships with externship sites.
  • Track graduate placements and maintain accurate records and required reports.
  • Monitor local employment trends and connect students with training-related job opportunities.
  • Work closely with campus leadership, faculty, Admissions, and Academic departments.
  • Develop relationships with local businesses and community organizations.
  • Teach career development courses as assigned.
  • Associate's degree required.
  • Experience in career services, recruiting, workforce development, education, job placement, or externship coordination is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with networking, employer outreach, and consistent follow-up.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Results-oriented with a strong commitment to student success.
