Assistant Housing Services Manager
Bethel, Alaska

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta is home to thousands of lakes and two primary rivers-the Kuskokwim and Yukon.

Position Summary:
  • Primary focus for this position would to assist with the Transient Housing and TDY employee/relocation employee housing placements.
  • Works closely with Housing Services Manager
  • Assesses Housing requests by priority of request and reserves and confirms housing placements for transient quarters.
  • Maintains housing cleaning schedule and communicates changes with the contracted outside company.
  • Tracks and reports all department billing for the Transient Quarters tenants.
  • Maintains all administrative procedures tracking and documentation under the Housing Services Department.
  • Preforms general data entry to maintain waiting list current for prospective residents.
    • Helps determine the eligibility of applicants.
  • Accepts an on Call duty, rotating shift with Housing Services Manager- has Housing Services on call phone and answers after hour calls.
    • May need to respond in person.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Minimum Experience: At least two (2) years of relevant experience in housing services or real estate/property management preferred. May be substituted with one year of office experience.
  • License, Certification, Registration: Valid State of Alaska Driver's License.
  • Equipment/Tools: None
  • Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook... etc.) Exceptional communication skills and ability to communicate interdepartmentally. Ability to work independently with little to no supervision. Is Adaptable and open to change and new information; adapts behavior and work methods in response to new information, changing conditions or unexpected obstacles. Adjusts rapidly to new situations warranting attention and resolution.
  • Works well with others and behaves professionally and ethically.
