About Northern Trust:
Northern Trust, a Fortune 500 company, is a globally recognized, award-winning financial institution that has been in continuous operation since 1889.
Northern Trust is proud to provide innovative financial services and guidance to the world's most successful individuals, families, and institutions by remaining true to our enduring principles of service, expertise, and integrity. With more than 130 years of financial experience and over 22,000 partners, we serve the world's most sophisticated clients using leading technology and exceptional service.

We are looking for a transformation leader who can rethink critical workforce journeys from the ground up by simplifying complexity, removing friction, and designing experiences that feel intuitive, modern, and human-centered.

The key responsibilities of the role include:
Reimagine Workforce Experiences
• Redesign employee and manager experiences across critical workforce journeys, including onboarding, internal mobility, approvals, workforce operations, and manager workflows
• Challenge legacy assumptions and rethink how work should function in a modern enterprise environment
• Identify friction points, inefficiencies, duplicative processes, and unnecessary complexity across end-to-end workflows
• Simplify experiences by designing more intuitive, scalable, and human-centered solutions
Lead Enterprise Transformation Initiatives
• Drive high-impact transformation efforts from concept through implementation
• Translate broad strategic ideas into actionable operating models, workflows, and execution plans
• Partner directly with senior leadership to shape enterprise workforce transformation priorities
• Prototype and pilot new approaches before scaling across the organization
Design Future-State Operating Models
• Apply service design, journey mapping, systems thinking, and process redesign methodologies
• Create future-state employee and manager journeys that improve efficiency, experience, and adoption
• Design workflows that integrate people, process, technology, and AI-enabled automation
• Ensure solutions balance user experience, operational scalability, governance, and risk management
Partner Across Functions
• Collaborate with HR, Technology, Operations, Risk, Communications, and business leaders to drive adoption and implementation
• Translate transformation concepts into business requirements, user stories, and implementation plans
• Influence stakeholders across a complex enterprise environment and build alignment around new ways of working
Skills/Qualifications:
• 5-10+ years with backgrounds in Experience Design, Service Design, Digital Transformation, Product Operations, Management Consulting, Innovation Strategy or Customer Experience Transformation.
• Delivered enterprise-scale transformation initiatives through redesigning experiences, workflows, operating models, and/or services in complex organizations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Math or a related field.
