Job description

Job Summary

Lead and oversee regional commercial banking operations, including business lending, deposits, treasury services, customer relationship management, and staff performance. Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth, profitability, and operational success across the region. Supervise, mentor, and support management teams and commercial banking staff while ensuring achievement of production, revenue, portfolio, and customer service goals.

Manage commercial loan origination activities, underwriting coordination, portfolio performance, credit quality, and compliance with banking policies and procedures. Facilitate business development efforts, maintain strong customer relationships, oversee pipeline management, and identify opportunities for cross-selling financial products and services. Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, employee development, and training initiatives while promoting a high-performance culture. Represent the organization through professional, community, and industry involvement and serve as a trusted advisor to business clients.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement regional commercial banking strategies and business plans.
  • Supervise, coach, and manage commercial banking staff and leadership teams.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop employees.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, revenue growth, profitability, and portfolio performance.
  • Manage commercial lending activities, including loan origination, underwriting coordination, approval processes, and portfolio management.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations, credit policies, and internal procedures.
  • Build, maintain, and expand commercial customer relationships.
  • Identify business development and cross-selling opportunities for banking products and services.
  • Manage sales pipelines, prospecting activities, and relationship growth initiatives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing staff development and training.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to improve operational efficiency and customer service.
  • Support treasury services and commercial product offerings.
  • Prepare reports, analyze performance metrics, and communicate strategic objectives.
  • Represent the organization in community, professional, and networking events.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and high performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive management experience within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial lending, loan origination, underwriting, credit analysis, documentation, and treasury services.
  • Significant experience in commercial relationship management and portfolio development.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, employee development, and performance management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Proficiency in banking systems and business software applications.
  • Ability to travel as required.
