WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As an Account Executive (Employee Assistance Program), you will:
  • Conduct complex program analyses and evaluations by assessing utilization data, identifying program issues, developing recommendations, preparing reports and briefings, and supporting leadership in the development of behavioral health and EAP policies, procedures, and organizational initiatives.
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of Federal customer agencies by providing strategic consultation on Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and WorkLife services, coordinating service agreements, monitoring program performance and expenditures, and advising leadership on service delivery and program improvements.
  • Serve as a senior behavioral health consultant by providing expert guidance to Federal agency leadership on complex EAP issues, including suicide prevention, workplace violence, critical incident stress response, mental health concerns, and other sensitive organizational matters.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary response efforts during critical incidents by collaborating with internal service areas, vendor partners, and customer agencies to implement integrated behavioral health services, ensure continuity of operations, and maintain effective communication among stakeholders.

Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications: You must meet one of the following:
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
OR
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
OR
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
AND
Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year of specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:
  • Applying advanced analytical and evaluative work to support program management, policy development, and organizational decision-making within a behavioral health and employee assistance program (EAP) environment.
  • Leading the strategic management of customer or agency portfolios while serving as a senior advisor to leadership on behavioral health, EAP/WorkLife programs, and service delivery models.
  • Providing consultation on complex or sensitive behavioral health and EAP-related issues, including high-visibility cases, critical incidents, and organizational challenges.
  • Leading cross-functional coordination efforts during critical incidents or large-scale events, ensuring timely, effective, and integrated program responses across multiple stakeholders and service providers.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
