Job description

We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team and provide quality care to geriatric patients. The ideal candidate is a compassionate and experienced professional who is able to provide comprehensive nursing care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing emotional support. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  •  Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
  •  Monitor vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse rate.
  •  Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  •  Provide emotional support to patients and families.
  •  Educate patients and families about health care maintenance.
  •  Observe and report changes in patient's condition to the supervising nurse.
  • Assist with geriatric care needs.

Qualifications:

  •  Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the state
  •  Must have no finding in the registry concerning abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property.
  •  Skilled at tackling numerous tasks and makes quick decisions.
  •  Can foster good resident and family relationships.
  •  Ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment.
  •  A passion for working with elderly residents.
  •  Experience in a long-term or assisted living facility a plus, but not required.
