• Conduct thorough crisis assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies.
• Deliver compassionate counseling and immediate support to clients who require urgent mental health assistance, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Collaborate closely with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, exchanging critical information to facilitate the best outcomes for clients in crisis.
• Provide ongoing follow-up care and recommendations tailored to each client’s situation, promoting sustained emotional support.
• Utilize effective crisis intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations effectively.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and utilize client management systems to track outcomes and improve service delivery.

This role focuses specifically on assisting individuals dealing with substance misuse and related mental health challenges. • A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from a nationally accredited institution is required.
• A valid and active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential is mandatory.
• At least three years of recent experience providing crisis intervention and mental health counseling services.
• Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed care, leveraging knowledge to inform treatment approaches.
• Exposure to evidence-based crisis intervention techniques and a proven track record of applying these methods in practical scenarios.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to connect empathetically with clients in crisis.

• Additional certifications in addiction counseling or related trauma training.
• Experience in remote counseling practices, utilizing videoconferencing technology for client sessions.
• Proficient in creating and implementing personalized crisis intervention plans based on rapid assessments.
• Strong understanding of ethical and legal considerations in mental health practice, particularly concerning crisis intervention.
