Emi Manager information

What is an EMI manager?

EMI Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing the compliance, administration, and operations of Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs). They ensure the institution meets regulatory requirements, manages financial operations, and maintains secure electronic payment services. Their role often includes risk management, liaising with regulatory bodies, and implementing policies to safeguard funds and customer data. EMI Managers play a crucial part in the financial technology sector by ensuring that digital payment services are reliable and compliant.

How does an EMI manager typically collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth electronic money operations?

An EMI Manager works closely with teams such as compliance, IT, customer service, and finance to ensure that electronic money operations run efficiently and adhere to regulatory standards. They often coordinate with compliance officers to implement anti-money laundering protocols, partner with IT to maintain secure transaction systems, and support customer service in resolving payment issues. This cross-functional collaboration is essential for addressing operational challenges, staying up-to-date with regulatory changes, and ensuring a seamless experience for customers. Regular meetings and clear communication channels are key to fostering effective teamwork in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an EMI manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as an EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) Manager, you need a solid background in electrical or electronics engineering, with expertise in EMI/EMC standards, testing, and mitigation techniques. Familiarity with tools like spectrum analyzers, EMI test chambers, and relevant compliance certifications (such as CISPR, FCC, or MIL-STD-461) is typically required. Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills help coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure regulatory compliance. These skills are crucial for minimizing interference risks, meeting industry standards, and ensuring the successful deployment of electronic products.

What is the difference between Emi Manager vs Loan Officer?

AspectEmi ManagerLoan Officer
CredentialsTypically requires a degree in finance, banking, or related field; certifications like NISM or IRDA may be preferredSimilar credentials; often requires finance or banking background and relevant certifications
Work EnvironmentPrimarily office-based, managing EMI-related processes, customer accounts, and collectionsOffice and field-based, assessing loan applications, meeting clients, and processing approvals
Employer & IndustryFinancial institutions, banks, NBFCs focusing on EMI collections and managementBanks, NBFCs, and lending companies involved in loan disbursement and approval

Both Emi Managers and Loan Officers work within the financial sector, often in banking or NBFCs. Emi Managers focus on managing EMI collections and customer accounts, while Loan Officers handle loan applications and approvals. While their roles differ, they share similar credentials and work environments, making them closely related in the lending industry.

Job description

About Yotta Energy

YottaEnergy is a leader in cuttingedge commercial solar and energy storage solutions, delivering innovative, cost-effective, and scalable technology to power the future of clean energy. We are building a worldclass team of professionals passionate about renewable energy and sustainable solutions. If you're looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-growing, missiondriven company, YottaEnergy is the place for you.

About the Role

This role is ideal for a hands-on electrical engineering leader who thrives at the intersection of power electronics, embedded systems, and product development. As a Principal Electrical Hardware Engineer, you will own the architecture and execution of critical power conversion and control hardware that drives our energy platform. You’ll play a key role in shaping next-generation products from early concept through production, balancing deep technical expertise with practical engineering execution. This position requires someone who is equally comfortable designing complex mixed-signal hardware, troubleshooting systems at the bench, collaborating across disciplines, and mentoring other engineers to elevate overall team performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the electrical hardware architecture and development of BMS, DC-DC, and inverter subsystems across the YOTTA BLOCK product portfolio, from concept through production release
  • Design, develop, and validate mixed-signal hardware including power stages, gate drivers, sensing circuits, isolation circuitry, analog front ends, and microcontroller-based control systems
  • Create schematics and perform hands-on PCB layout in Altium, including high current routing, controlled impedance design, thermal management, and EMI-conscious placement and routing practices
  • Design and specify magnetic components such as transformers, inductors, and common-mode chokes, while collaborating with vendors on custom solutions
  • Collaborate with firmware engineers to develop, implement, and tune closed-loop digital control systems for power conversion applications
  • Develop and debug communication interfaces including I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, RS-485, and USB across embedded and system-level architectures
  • Lead hardware bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, thermal cameras, and solar array simulators
  • Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT), supporting pilot production builds, factory test development, and manufacturing ramp activities
  • Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC, safety, and reliability requirements, including in-house pre-compliance testing and coordination with external certification labs
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, establishing high standards for engineering quality, documentation, and design review processes
  • Partner cross-functionally with mechanical, firmware, systems, manufacturing, and product teams to deliver fully integrated hardware solutions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of industry experience in power electronics and mixed-signal hardware design, with a proven track record of successfully bringing products from concept to production.
  • Extensive hands-on experience designing Battery Management System (BMS) hardware for lithium-ion battery systems, including cell monitoring, balancing, protection, isolated communication, and contactor control.
  • Strong experience designing inverter and/or bidirectional DC-DC power conversion systems for solar, energy storage, or related renewable energy applications.
  • Expert proficiency with Altium Designer, including schematic capture, multi-layer PCB layout for power electronics, library management, and ECO workflows.
  • Deep understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit design, including op amps, comparators, ADC/DAC interfaces, isolation circuits, gate drivers, and current voltage sensing.
  • Experience with microcontroller-based system design and the ability to collaborate effectively with firmware teams on embedded C development and debugging.
  • Strong hands-on laboratory and debugging experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, solar array simulators, network analyzers, and thermal imaging tools.
  • Comfortable soldering, reworking, and modifying prototype hardware as needed during development and testing.
  • Working knowledge of EMI/EMC, safety, and regulatory compliance practices for grid-connected power electronics, with the ability to design for compliance throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly document technical designs and communicate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What We Offer
  • Up to $200,00 a year DOE
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • High-impact leadership role in a fast-growing clean energy company
  • Collaborative, mission-driven work environment
Work Authorization Requirement

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
