Advanced Veterinary Specialty Group (AVSG) Internal Medicine/Emergency/Critical Care is looking to add a Full-Time Emergency Veterinarian to our team!

Our mission is to provide a solution to the challenges faced by our patients, clients, and local general practitioners in a timely and efficient manner. This role would consist of two or three days per week working closely with our internists, emergency doctors, and surgeons in a growing, dynamic environment.

We are a tight-knit, collegial group of medical professionals who join forces to provide the highest level of both patient and client care possible. We provide emergency services as well as specialty services, including Critical Care, Internal Medicine, and we have FIVE boarded Veterinary Surgeons. The other practices in the complex that we collaborate with include Dermatology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, Oncology, Neurology, and Imaging. We serve Orange County and most of Southern California. We boast the best climate in the country with endless social and cultural opportunities.

What you will bring:

  • Your essential qualifications are compassion, a passion for practicing good medicine, and a willingness to collaborate, learn, and teach.
  • You thrive on clinical banter, and you know that most of the success in veterinary medicine resides in your ability to effectively communicate with people.
  • You will be leading an amazing team of RVT's and tech assistants with respect and confidence.
  • We will provide you with a wide array of diagnostic and treatment tools at your disposal.
  • You can think under pressure, examine, and triage promptly, diagnose short- and long-term health issues quickly, consult directly with clients with emotional intelligence, and communicate with referring clinics professionally.
  • You must comply with all regulatory agencies for veterinary medicine and have a current California license.
