Join our Team! Leland Management is seeking a Groundskeeper & Maintenance Techh for one of our communities in the Kissimmee, FL area. The position is full-time (Sunday thru Thursday, from 10:00am to 6:30pm) with competitive pay and excellent benefits.


Primary Objective:
The Groundskeeper is responsible for ensuring that the property is well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing by keeping the grounds clean, orderly, and safe for residents and visitors. The position requires regular inspection of the property to remove trash and litter, as well as ensuring common areas, parking lots, and pool areas are kept clean and tidy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Property Maintenance:
    • Conduct daily inspections of the property, including common areas, parking lots, and pool areas, and pick up any trash, debris, or litter.
    • Ensure all grounds are properly cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
    • Remove trash from public areas and designated spots, ensuring cleanliness throughout the day, especially in high-traffic areas such as the pool.
    • Assist other groundskeeping personnel in maintenance projects as needed.
  • Spot Pressure Washing:
    • Perform spot pressure washing tasks as needed to maintain cleanliness on various surfaces across the property.
  • Physical Tasks:
    • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs when necessary (e.g., for carrying trash or equipment).
    • Comfortable climbing ladders and performing tasks in elevated areas, as required.
    • Perform most tasks while walking or standing for long periods during the workday.
  • Emergency Maintenance Assistance:
    • Be available to assist with emergency maintenance tasks when needed. This may include helping with minor repairs or responding to unexpected situations.
  • Waste Management:
    • Empty trash cans and waste bins regularly, particularly around the pool area mid-day to ensure they remain clean and free from overflow during busier times.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    • Properly use and maintain assigned equipment, ensuring it is kept in good working condition.
    • Report any equipment issues or needed repairs to the Supervisor promptly.
  • Supplies and Inventory:
    • Inform the Supervisor when supplies are running low and require replenishment.
    • Assist in the organization and storage of supplies and tools.
  • Safety and Professionalism:
    • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols when operating equipment and performing tasks.
    • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times, interacting respectfully with team members, residents, and visitors.
  • Attendance and Punctuality:
    • Must meet attendance expectations and be punctual for scheduled shifts.
