Job Overview

Jensen Hughes is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and client-focused professional to join our growing team. This role is responsible for conducting Fire Safety Training at all levels of an organization, typically in healthcare to leadership, clinical staff and support staff.  This position will also provide exceptional emergency management consulting, including support of our Long-Term Care Mutual Aid Plans, program assessments, HVAs, plan/procedure design, training and drills/exercises.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging hands-on and classroom-based training in fire safety, fire response, and surgical fire prevention, demonstrating strong communication and instructional skills.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for client engagements, establish trust, build long-term partnerships, and ensure a high level of satisfaction and repeat  business.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of the CMS 2016 Emergency Preparedness Rule, The Joint Commission EM, DNV and HFAP standards, and baseline knowledge of NFPA standards (e.g., 99-12) 
  • Effectively coordinate and run meetings/workshops/exercises with local/regional healthcare and emergency response partners 
  • Excel at public speaking engagements with clear and concise messages to engage and energize an audience 
  • Contribute to business development by identifying growth opportunities, supporting proposal development, participating in industry events, and presenting solutions to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new service offerings, thought leadership content, and client education initiatives.
  • Stay current with evolving regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best practices to ensure cutting-edge client support.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in fire safety, emergency management, fire protection, fire science, safety, or related degree is preferred.  An associate's degree coupled with experience will be considered.
  • Must possess valid driver's license
  • Ability to maintain a high level of productivity under pressure, with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to exercise good judgment and effectively manage communications
  • As necessary, effectively coordinate and facilitate training and exercises with local/regional healthcare and emergency response partners
  • Desire to grow client engagements and develop business
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of delivering inclusive and informative sessions to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; adaptable to emerging technologies and platforms.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 50%, with potential for international assignments.
