Job description

Description The Medical Countermeasure (MCM) Coordinator's primary responsibility will be to provide maintenance of the Clayton County Health District's City Readiness Initiative (CRI) and Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Plan and Program. Job Responsibilities The MCM Coordinator assists Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) staff with plans to distribute mass prophylaxis (medicine and vaccine) to the public through; training and exercising health department staff and community partners, coordinating with state and local partners, and maintaining plans that meet or exceed mandatory CDC Operational Ready Review (ORR) guidelines and standards. The MCM Coordinator reports directly to the EPR Director.

Additional MCM Coordinator responsibilities include; updates emergency call and personnel lists, Closed Point of Distribution (POD) recruitment and partnership building; establish and maintain accountability and inventory of SNS equipment and supplies; updates, maintains and tracks medical countermeasures within the FAMIS360 web-based platform (state property inventory management system); establish, maintain, update and uploads SNS reports and data within Georgia Department of Public Health and CDC shared-drive systems. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of experience in emergency management; or two (2) years of experience required at the lower level Emergency Mgt Spec 1 (PSP070) or position equivalent. Additional Information PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to applicants who in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications also possess the following: Advanced technical writing and project management skills One (1) year experience in medicine or vaccine cold chain management Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Knowledgeable of Incident Command Systems (ICS) One (1) year experience in Bioterrorism or Pandemic preparedness and response One (1) year experience coordinating with agencies at the local, state or federal level.
