Job Overview โ€“ Crisis Hotline Counselor (Bilingual) Compensation: $22.50/hour Location: Miami, FL Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 12 PM โ€“ 9 PM or 2 PM โ€“ 11 PM (Hybrid Evening Shift) TAG MedStaffing is urgently hiring a Crisis Hotline Counselor (Bilingual) in Miami, FL for our client, supporting behavioral health crisis response for individuals experiencing emotional distress or mental health crises. In this hybrid role, you will provide crisis counseling, suicide intervention, and resource referrals while documenting calls in case management systems. Bilingual in Spanish or Creole is required.

Responsibilities as the Crisis Hotline Counselor (Bilingual): Crisis Counseling & Intervention: Provide crisis counseling and suicide intervention through hotline services for individuals experiencing emotional distress or behavioral health crises. Resource Referral & Support: Connect callers with appropriate behavioral health services, social resources, and community support organizations. Crisis Protocol Adherence: Follow established crisis response protocols and escalation procedures to support high-risk or emergency situations.

Call Documentation & Data Entry: Accurately document call details and case notes in case management systems while ensuring timely recordkeeping. Confidentiality & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality, privacy standards, and HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive information. Qualifications for the Crisis Hotline Counselor (Bilingual): Language Requirement: Bilingual in Spanish or Creole is required.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related behavioral health field is required. Experience: 1โ€“2+ years of experience in crisis counseling, behavioral health services, hotline support, or social services required. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques, suicide prevention practices, and behavioral health referral processes is preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency using computers and software applications including call management systems, databases, and Microsoft Office tools is required. Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong active listening, crisis de-escalation, emotional resilience, and the ability to communicate calmly and effectively during high-stress situations.
