Job description

Sierra Processing, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a safety conscious Industrial Mechanic to join the team at our recycling plant in Albany, NY

Hourly Rate:$25-$28/ hour based on experience

Shift:10:30A-8:00P

Schedule: Mon-Fri / 50-55 hours per week.

Typical job duties include:

  • Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, air, and hydraulic systems on MVR equipment such as conveyors, paper and cardboard screen, ballistic screen, optical screen, balers, and others.

  • Will power wash heavy equipment during routine preventative maintenance.

  • Complete required paperwork utilizing equipment maintenance software program.

  • Reviews and completes repairs identified on Daily Inspection Reports.

  • Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.

  • Performs services calls for emergency breakdowns that may take place in the MRF.

  • Other duties as assigned
