Job description

Machinist/ Water Jet Operator
1st Shift, Monday - Friday
Summary of Essential Job Functions for a Machinist:
  • Perform light fabrication, making jigs, fixtures, and special lots of production components
  • Program and operate the water jet, loading and unloading material and parts, operating controls, setting offsets, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements. Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations and set up requirements.
  • Perform all duties according to company standards and safety procedures and maintain acceptable attendance record

Minimun Requirements needed to apply for the Machinist position:
  • Formal machinist training required
  • Minimum of two years' experience in operating manual milling machines, lathes and drill presses
  • Must be a self-starter capable of working with general instruction and minimal supervision
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Minimum of one year's machining experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to work overtime, as required
