Currently, Recro is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Dedicated Tempest Engineer join our team in Springfield, VA; will be relocated to Herndon, VA end of 2026. Clearance โ€ข TS/SCI FS Poly Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Develop, manage, and implement comprehensive Tempest programs aligned with regulatory standards including NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92 and CNSSP-510. * Conduct electromagnetic risk assessments and apply effective mitigation strategies to minimize security threats. * Plan and execute EMC and Tempest testing on electronic systems to ensure regulatory compliance. * Support engineering design by analyzing systems for electromagnetic vulnerabilities and recommending design modifications. * Create and maintain detailed documentation such as test plans, analysis reports, and certification records. * Train and raise awareness among personnel regarding Tempest policies, procedures, and best practices. * Ensure our organization's compliance with evolving Tempest regulations and maintain program readiness. Required Qualifications * High School Diploma with 11+ years of experience, an Associate's Degree with 9+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of experience. * Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II (CTP II) * A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in EMC and Tempest testing, analysis, and certification * Background in Electrical Engineering * Deep understanding of electromagnetic theory, signal processing, and electromagnetic compatibility * Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to interpret data and design effective solutions โ€ข Preferred Qualifications: * CNSSP-510 or NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92 certification * Experience with RF receivers (FSWT experience a plus) * F amiliarity with oscilloscopes (analog and digital), waveform generators, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers * Experience using a range of antennas and other electronic testing tools as required * Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP or EMC-specific credentials * Experience with specific Tempest standards (NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92, CNSSP-510) * Proficiency in using Tempest testing tools including signal and spectrum analyzers Work Schedule: * 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM as part of a coverage team operating between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Shift may need to flex given requirements.
