Title: Pressman Operator
Location: Richmond, VA 23231
Reports To: Pressroom Manager
Pay Rate: $22/hr

Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled Printing Press Operator with strong KBA press experience to print high-quality envelopes and paper products while maintaining optimal press speed and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will also work closely with Machine Operators to ensure smooth production flow and consistent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, adjust, and operate sheet-fed offset printing presses as a Printing Press Operator, with emphasis on KBA press operation.

  • Monitor product quality during production runs, checking against samples and established standards, and make adjustments as needed.

  • Perform press repairs, routine maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep to ensure machines operate efficiently.

  • Collaborate with Machine Operators to support workflow and production goals.

  • Review job documentation to ensure requirements are fully understood before production.

  • Make necessary color, register, or press adjustments to maintain quality specifications.

  • Follow pressroom procedures for control sheets, charging time & materials, load tags, FSC stock, and samples.

  • Maintain productivity standards while minimizing raw material waste.

  • Assist other Machine Operators or pressroom team members when necessary to support production efficiency.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

  • Proven experience as a Printing Press Operator with extensive KBA press experience (5/6 color, UV ink, foil printing, embossing).

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience as a Machine Operator in a production environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail, quality-focused, and capable of meeting production goals.

  • Prior experience in sheetfed, litho, flexo, roll tender, or jet printing environments is preferred.
