Job description

Job Summary:
Info Way Solutions is seeking an experienced Embedded QA Engineer with a strong background in embedded systems testing and expertise in the cable and networking domains. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain test plans for embedded devices such as routers and switches, ensuring quality and performance across hardware and software layers.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test strategies for embedded systems
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing on embedded devices
• Work with RKDB for data validation, issue analysis, and troubleshooting (preferred)
• Validate embedded features related to cable, networking, and video technologies
• Debug issues across hardware, firmware, and software layers
• Analyze logs, core dumps, packet captures, and system traces
• Collaborate closely with embedded developers, system architects, and product teams
• Ensure quality, performance, reliability, and stability of embedded products
• Document test results, defects, and technical findings clearly.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5–10 years of experience in Embedded QA / Embedded Systems Testing
• Strong understanding of embedded Linux environments
• Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching)
• Experience with cable and networking devices, including: Routers, Switches, Video / streaming platforms
• Experience testing network protocols and device interfaces
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Preferred:
• Familiarity with RKDB
• Prior experience with Comcast or similar cable/networking service providers
• Knowledge of DOCSIS, broadband, or video delivery platforms
• Exposure to test automation in embedded environments
• Experience with hardware bring-up and firmware validation
