Job Summary:
The Embassy Suites La Jolla is seeking a motivated, experienced Front Office Supervisor to lead daily front desk operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This role is ideal for a hands-on hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys mentoring team members while maintaining high service standards. As Front Office Supervisor, you will oversee front desk activities, support and coach associates, and act as a key problem-solver for guest concerns—ensuring smooth operations and memorable stays for every guest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily front-office operations to ensure efficient, professional guest service.
  • Oversee guest check-in and check-out procedures, including reservations, billing, and payment handling.
  • Train front office team members on hotel procedures, brand standards, and customer service expectations.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for guest issues, resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times.
  • Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and other departments to deliver seamless guest experiences.
  • Support scheduling, coverage needs, and shift transitions as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a front-office, hospitality, or customer-service supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills with a service-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and hotel property management systems (PMS preferred).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
