Job Summary

Physical Therapy Assistants provide high quality, comprehensive and patient-centered Physical Therapy services to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses and disabilities. Responsibilities include administering therapeutic procedures according to the treatment plan, documentation and communication with physicians and other referral sources, handling and administration of medications according to legal guidelines, and clinical guidance to non-licensed personnel. Physical Therapy Assistants work with various healthcare team members to assure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Excellent customer service skills required.

c. Minimum License Requirement :

California licensure to practice or eligibility and application for licensure as a PTA by the Physical Therapy Board of the California State Board of Health Professions. BLS required. Annual 2 hours of stroke education required for those working at QVH. Annual 4 hours of Orthopedic Education required.

Position may require float between campuses dependent upon coverage needs of the department. Training to include TCU and Acute rehab units. Outpatient training available as needed.
