Oak Grove: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell.  The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Specialists report to the Marketing Supervisor and are responsible for a variety of marketing operations, including but not limited to advertising, direct mail print production, email marketing, social media marketing, promotions, special events, entertainment and other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute email marketing campaign strategy to support promotions, events, new games, and special offers.
  • Evaluate and optimize the effectiveness of all email-marketing messages.
  • Develop relevant, unique, and engaging content for our social media efforts.
  • Monitor all social channels for guest feedback and respond as needed.
  • Foster dialogue on our social platforms to create interactive relationships with our guests.
  • Work with our advertising agency to measure the effectiveness of our social efforts.
  • Bi-lingual copy writing and proof reading for promotional materials, email campaigns, and website content.
  • Coordinate and traffic marketing projects with the internal design team and advertising agency.
  • Proof for accuracy all communication materials prepared internally or by our agencies.
  • Assist the Marketing Manager in the planning, coordination and execution of special events, promotions, VIP programs, gift giveaways, tournaments and more as assigned.
  • Plan, book and oversee the execution of all entertainment in coordination with the Marketing Manager.
  • Assist with gaming events and promotions as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism with the ability to react well under pressure.
  • Maintain an open-door policy for Team Members to allow open communication
  • Guest relations and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with internal departments.
  • Ability to exercise sound business judgment and generate effective solutions quickly as necessary.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays and nights.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, or similar, or two years of relevant experience is required.
  • Strong computer skills with a fundamental knowledge of email marketing platforms is required.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
