To thrive as an Email Project Manager, you need strong project management skills, email marketing knowledge, and familiarity with campaign strategy, typically supported by a degree in marketing or communications. Proficiency in email marketing platforms (like Mailchimp or Salesforce Marketing Cloud), analytics tools, and sometimes certification in project management (PMP or similar) are commonly required. Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities help you collaborate with diverse teams and adapt to changing priorities. These skills ensure successful, timely execution of email campaigns that achieve business objectives and maximize customer engagement.

Job description

Job Summary

The Email Production Manager (EPM) is the engine of our email marketing operations. You will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of high-volume campaigns-from technical intake and template construction to QA and deployment. We are looking for a process-oriented expert who can balance technical execution in platforms like Salesforce or Adobe with the consultative skills needed to guide internal stakeholders toward email excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for email requesters, communicating confirmed dates, build processes, and timelines to set clear expectations
  • Consult with requesters to advise on email best practices, confirm project requirements & details, share build process and timelines, and set expectations
  • Perform technical audits of creative assets to ensure they meet brand standards and technical specifications for responsive design.
  • Build emails in Marketing Creation platforms (e.g., Stensul, Knak) or Email Marketing Platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Adobe) to support email deployments, including usage of content blocks, dynamic content, and personalization
  • Configure data setup and deployment details
  • Train other requesters on how to use the Marketing Creation platform and templates; draft job aids to scale training
  • Conduct rigorous QA testing across various clients (Outlook, Gmail, iOS) using Litmus or Email on Acid to ensure pixel-perfect rendering.
  • Communicate with requesters and email PMO on the status of projects from prep, in-progress and post-send confirmation
  • Distribute performance reports summarizing results (e.g., open rates, click rates, bounces, unsubscribes, and other KPIs.)
  • Lead email channel heath initiatives to improve the email program
  • Strong team member with a positive attitude, willing to help partners and peers to get the job done

Minimum Education
