Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Job Description
The Customer Service Representative plays a pivotal role in supporting the Customer Service Supervisor and department in executing daily activities. This includes creating and issuing invoices, initiating billing cycles, and verifying appropriate charges. The role also involves generating freight quotes using established company policies and procedures and providing excellent customer service support via telephone and email.
Responsibilities
- Create and issue invoices as part of the billing cycle.
- Verify charges to ensure accuracy.
- Generate quotes for freight using company policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service support through telephone and email.
- Manage and communicate with customers using email 90% of the time.
- Handle communication of client needs, concerns, and delivery information through approximately 100-200 emails/updates per day.
- Provide status updates and proof of delivery (POD) to customers.
- Manage internal orders with the warehouse.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in data entry and customer service.
- Ability to manage and communicate effectively with customers primarily via email.
- Experience in generating freight quotes and managing logistics inquiries.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially email.
- One year of business billing experience is advantageous.
- Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is a plus.
Work Environment
The role is set in an office environment with a team of around 14 Customer Service Representatives. Business attire is required, and shifts may vary within the operating hours of 7am to 6pm, to be discussed during the interview process. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reno, NV.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
