Mindbody equips wellness entrepreneurs with technology to support thriving businesses and create exceptional experiences. Innovation and curiosity drive our culture, connecting businesses and individuals through cutting-edge solutions. Join us if you're passionate about enhancing wellness through technology.

About the job:

We're looking for a Sr. Copywriter to help define how we translate company-wide strategy and initiatives into compelling copy. As an integral member of the Creative and Marketing teams, the Sr. Copywriter represents our family of brands with every word, from acquisition emails to ad copy to developing overarching messaging systems. This is a hands-on position with a tremendous opportunity to shape the future of Playlist.

Who you are:

You can't wait to dig into each new project. You research different ways to approach the brief, consult your AI assistants, come up with the best hooks, and craft on-brand copy that works. You have experience writing for everything from major marketing campaigns to in-product notifications to the opt-out language on a cookie pop-up. While you work, you collaborate and brainstorm with designers and other stakeholders to be sure the copy perfectly fits the placement and drives conversion.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead ideation on assigned projects, fostering creative collaboration and developing concepts and solutions that work.
  • Craft copy across all mediums, including web, emails, ad campaigns, organic and paid social, one-pagers, presentations, events, guides and more.
  • Collaborate closely with executives, creative directors, visual designers, web developers, video & motion designers and fellow copywriters to develop influential copy that meets (and hopefully exceeds!) the creative brief.
  • Work cross-functionally with project managers, product marketing managers and other stakeholders across the organization to create informed, strategic project assets that help further company OKRs.
  • Develop updated brand copy documentation, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints in the customer journey by defining and upholding standards, style guides and processes.
  • Understand high-level software and digital technology concepts, then be able to communicate them clearly using as few words as possible.
  • Adopt a testing mindset, iterating to deliver high-performing, results-oriented messaging for each channel and user segment.
  • Explore how AI, AEO, new social channels, and the changing marketing landscape can be harnessed to support our business goals.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 5-10+ years copywriting experience, either in-house or at a creative agency, including demonstrated ability writing for a wide variety of platforms, placements and audiences. Experience writing for both software and social media is required.
  • An eye for details, with professional knowledge of English grammar and an expert facility with various forms of style and composition.
  • Ability to think conceptually, drive creative decisions, defend strategy and draft original, compelling copy.
  • Excellent service and leadership skills, with a solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to adapt and iterate until achieving the desired results.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines, communicating clearly about timelines and processes and continually prioritizing and reprioritizing work based on changing needs.
  • Portfolio of past work required.
  • Sample writing assignment will be required for interviewees.
