The Specialist, Email Marketing is responsible for coordinating the development, execution, and optimization of email marketing communications that support Holland America Line and Seabourn business objectives. This role leads the execution of promotional, lifecycle, and transactional email campaigns, ensuring accuracy, brand consistency, and timely delivery across all communications. The Specialist partners closely with Pricing, Demand, Creative, and Marketing teams to translate campaign inputs into effective email and landing page experiences. Using data and performance metrics, this role supports ongoing program optimization through testing, measurement, and audience targeting insights. The position plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing email programs within the Seabourn and Holland America Line CRM and email service provider platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and organizational skills, along with hands-on experience building and deploying emails using HTML and email marketing tools. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a strong understanding of email marketing best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Email Campaign Execution & Delivery: Responsible for the end-to-end execution of promotional, lifecycle, and transactional email campaigns across Holland America Line and Seabourn. Translates approved campaign inputs into fully built email and landing page assets within CRM and email service provider platforms. Ensures all emails are accurately set up, tested, and deployed according to campaign requirements and production timelines. Manages email builds including audience versioning, dynamic content application, and deployment logic. Confirms readiness for launch by validating creative, content, links, and targeting prior to deployment. Coordinates final launch activities to ensure on-time delivery. Supports multiple concurrent campaigns while maintaining attention to detail and executional consistency.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination & Project Management: Partners closely with Pricing, Demand, Creative, and Marketing stakeholders to gather inputs required for email communications. Coordinates project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure alignment with broader marketing calendars. Compiles stakeholder inputs into formats suitable for internal teams or external vendors, ensuring clarity and completeness. Maintains project schedules, status updates, and documentation to support transparency and accountability. Facilitates review and approval workflows, ensuring required sign-offs are obtained prior to execution. Manages day-to-day communication related to assigned email initiatives. Proactively identifies and resolves execution risks related to timing, inputs, or dependencies.
  • Quality Assurance & Brand Compliance: Ensures all email communications meet brand standards, visual guidelines, and content accuracy requirements. Conducts thorough quality control reviews of email and landing page content, including links, subject lines, formatting, and personalization logic. Verifies audience targeting and versioning to ensure correct delivery to intended recipients. Reviews copy for clarity, consistency, and alignment with approved messaging. Confirms that final assets reflect approved inputs and adhere to established specifications. Documents and resolves errors identified during testing cycles. Maintains a high standard of execution to protect brand integrity and customer experience.
  • Program Maintenance, Tools & Vendor Support: Manages day-to-day maintenance of established email programs. Supports updates to existing programs to reflect changing business needs, messaging, or targeting requirements. Utilizes HTML and basic image editing skills to create or modify email assets as needed. Coordinates with external vendors to obtain project estimates and supports internal approval of associated costs. Tracks expenses and updates budget reporting mechanisms in alignment with approved spend. Maintains organized records of files, assets, and program documentation. Ensures tools, templates, and processes are used consistently and effectively.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience managing email marketing programs within an in-house marketing team or agency environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using email service provider (ESP) and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms to build, test, and deploy email campaigns.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS as applied to email design and modification.
  • Proficiency with standard business and marketing tools, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to analyze email performance metrics and apply insights to campaign execution and optimization.
  • Experience executing end-to-end email campaigns, including setup, testing, deployment, and post-campaign review across multiple campaign types.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to gather inputs and translate requirements into executed email communications.

  • Base Salary Range: $59,200 to $79,900 The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidate's qualifications and experience uniquely.
