Job description

At Aztec, we provide talented and dynamic individuals with the opportunity to build a rewarding career.
We're an ambitious company, committed to building long-term partnerships with our clients and delivering operational excellence at every stage of their fund's lifecycle.
Our culture is what makes us a standout place to work. Our people are at the heart of our business: putting clients first; delivering service excellence; working as one team; building lasting connections and embodying our values and purpose.
Join our journey and discover what makes us the bright alternative.
About the role:
Reports to: Associate Director - US Technology
Location: Philadelphia, Radnor with hybrid working (with cross-jurisdictional responsibility)
The Senior Application Manager - Investran is the senior operational and delivery owner for Aztec's Investran platform capability, with a particular focus on the US market and Private Equity service line. The role ensures Investran is stable, well-governed, audit-ready, and continuously improved, while enabling scalable onboarding, client migrations, integrations, and reporting.
The role combines platform ownership with client onboarding leadership: defining a standardised approach to Investran delivery across Aztec's global operating model, coordinating delivery across internal technology teams and operational stakeholders, and acting as a senior escalation point for complex issues. The role also ensures the platform operates in line with Aztec's control environment (including SOC 1 / ISAE-aligned evidence, access controls, and change governance) and that releases are managed through controlled environments from development through to production.
At the Aztec Group we credit our technology as one of the core ingredients to our award-winning outsourced solutions. Our strategy is to deliver a market- leading, outsourced solution to our clients, shaped by the elixir of the Aztec Group and driven by our shared values. These shared values guide how we behave and work - together, and with our clients, stakeholders and the wider communities in which we live.
These are exciting times across the group; significant growth, change, and investment make it a truly world class opportunity to help shape our organisation for the next stage of its own journey.
Based out of our Radnor, Philadelphia office where hybrid flexible working is the norm.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Ownership and governance:
  • Act as the platform owner for Investran within Markets Technology, accountable for operational health, stability, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and execute the Investran platform roadmap aligned to US delivery priorities and broader Markets Technology standards.
  • Define and enforce platform standards for configuration, documentation, testing evidence, and release governance.
  • Own platform metrics (availability, incident trends, SLA performance, backlog health, recurring defects) and drive remediation plans.

Client Onboarding and Migration Delivery:
  • Lead Investran client onboarding and migration activities, ensuring predictable delivery across design, build, SIT, UAT, cutover, and hypercare.
  • Work closely with operational leadership and Client Facing Teams to define onboarding scope, timelines, acceptance criteria, and readiness requirements.
  • Support conceptual design of fund and deal structures in collaboration with Operations, ensuring Investran best practices are followed.
  • Establish and maintain standard onboarding playbooks, templates, and delivery artefacts to reduce bespoke effort and improve repeatability.

Development, Configuration and Enhancements:
  • Lead delivery of Investran configuration and enhancement initiatives including:
    • Investran API initiatives and integration enablement
    • Business event configuration and support
    • Vendor/system customisations and extensions (internal or external)
    • New module adoption and workflow optimisation
  • Ensure requirements gathering, documentation, and user review/sign-off are completed to a high standard before build and release.
  • Coordinate design and technical specifications with vendor teams and internal technical resources (solution architect, integration engineers, reporting/data specialists).

Production Support and Incident Management:
  • Act as the senior escalation point for Investran production issues including P1/P2 coordination, root cause analysis, and remediation.
  • Oversee ticket management with vendor support (including queue hygiene, ageing analysis, escalation path, and resolution outcomes).
  • Drive process improvements to reduce incident recurrence and improve operational stability.
  • Ensure operational support processes are clear, documented, and adopted, including runbooks and support handover standards.

Controls, Audit and Compliance (SOC 1 / ISAE-aligned):
  • Ensure Investran processes and change activities operate within Aztec's control framework, including:
    • SOC 1 / ISAE-aligned evidence retention and audit readiness
    • Access control governance and periodic user access reviews
    • User rights and authorisation processes (joiners/movers/leavers)
    • Support for audit Q&A, re-certification tasks, and control remediation
  • Ensure change governance and approvals are followed consistently, with appropriate segregation of environments and evidence of testing.

Reporting and Data Outputs:
  • Oversee delivery of Investran reporting outputs (standard and bespoke) and ensure alignment with US Private Equity requirements and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with Reporting & Data and Integration teams to ensure data extracts and exchanges are controlled, reconciled, and fit for purpose.
  • Drive standardisation of reporting approaches where feasible to reduce bespoke build and improve scalability.

Training, Adoption and Enablement:
  • Coordinate development and delivery of training materials and user enablement for Investran users, including onboarding training and best-practice guidance.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of a demo/training environment where required for internal enablement and client-facing demonstrations.
  • Promote consistent ways of working across operational teams, improving adoption and reducing reliance on informal knowledge.

Stakeholder, Vendor and Team Leadership:
  • Build strong relationships with Operations, Client Facing Teams, and Markets Technology leadership to ensure delivery alignment and transparency.
  • Manage vendor relationships for operational support, enhancements, and roadmap alignment; ensure service performance is measured and improved.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of Investran analysts/configuration specialists (and coordinate any third-party resources), including prioritisation, coaching, and performance oversight.

Innovation, Standards & Continuous Improvement:
  • Continuously identify and evaluate emerging technologies in data management, integrations, and client-facing solutions that can differentiate Aztec Group in the market.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, control, and scalability through:
    • Automation and configuration optimisation
    • Improved reporting and exception-based processes
    • Adoption of new platform features and capabilities
  • Drive adoption of Markets Technology standards, service metrics, and KPIs aligned to Aztec's Target Operating Model.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
  • Deep experience with Investran in a Private Equity operating model is essential, including platform configuration, onboarding, and production support.
  • Strong understanding of Private Equity fund accounting operations and operational workflows; familiarity with investor onboarding and investor servicing processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP as applied in the alternative asset management / fund administration context.
  • Experience with platform integrations (APIs, data feeds, and interface design) and familiarity with controlled release practices across environments.
  • Strong incident/problem management capability, able to lead structured remediation and service improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including client-facing delivery governance.
  • Strong internal and external communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to develop good working relationships within the business, the IT team and with other service providers

Qualifications and Experience:
