Job description

Position Title: Professional Land Surveyor
Location: Greenbelt, Maryland (projects primarily within MD)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our team and support a variety of projects throughout the state of Maryland. The ideal candidate is a surveyor who is comfortable working both in the field and in coordination with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver accurate, compliant, and timely survey results.
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee boundary, topographic, right-of-way, construction, and control surveys

  • Prepare, review, and certify survey plats, maps, and related documentation

  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to support roadway and transportation projects

  • Provide technical guidance and quality control for survey data and deliverables

  • Manage field operations, schedules, and priorities as needed

  • Maintain accurate records, notes, and survey files

  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding project status and requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the State of Maryland (required)

  • 5+ years of professional surveying experience

  • Strong working knowledge of Maryland surveying regulationsย 

  • Proficiency with standard surveying equipment and software

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to use personal vehicle for travel to project sites

  • Mileage and vehicle use will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy

  • Ability to perform field work in varying weather and site conditions

  • $100,000 - $130,000 a year
