Job Overview

Part‑time nursing care position, located in Cheshire, CT, with a salary of $44.00 per hour.

Schedule

Every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday.

Essential Job Functions
  • Perform 120‑day recertifications or reassessments as needed.
  • Administer medications, narcotics, and treatments (sterile dressing, clean dressing, proper surgical technique) with proper documentation.
  • Execute doctors and pharmacy orders.
  • Complete admission process documentation, including initial nursing assessment and care planning.
  • Recognize resident change of condition and initiate proper intervention.
  • Adhere to resident rights and facility abuse policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the ALSA Director.
  • Perform on‑call responsibilities as needed and rotate weekends and holidays.
  • Help with introductory and annual evaluations of CNA staff.
  • Ensure evaluation of clinical competence of assisted living aides with trimester checkpoints.
  • Act as designee in absence of Director of ALSA.
  • Assist with orientation and supervision of CNA and nursing staff.
  • Coordinate with MDs for changes in resident condition and arrange necessary appointments.
  • Communicate professionally with families.
