Position: LTS Elementary School Teacher (Posting number 2627-3792)
Location: Dewitt Road Elementary School
Dates: August 31, 2026 - October 12, 2026
Requirements: Must have NYS Certification in either Early Childhood Education B-2, Childhood Education 1-6, or Nursery-6
We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications:
  • Previous teaching experience in elementary education
  • Strong ability to collaborate and be an effective member of a grade-level team
  • Exemplify the WCSD Essential Skills and Core Beliefs
  • Candidates must have knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning

Responsibilities:
  • Provides comprehensive instruction in the District approved curriculum
  • Integrates literacy skills and strategies within the academic program, ensuring that all students are able to access text and communicate understanding through writing
  • Demonstrates a deep and rich knowledge of subject area and the ability to convey it to the students
  • Maintains accurate and timely student records available for teacher, student or parent reference

Salary: As per current Webster Teacher Association (WTA) Contract based on experience and education.
