Job Description

What You Get To Do:

As a member of the Production Team, the Material Prep Technician I performs a variety of duties in support of Production. This position assists the Planning and Material Prep Supervisor in overseeing inventory and work order prep within the Reno Operations Center (“ROC”). This position acts as a point of contact for manufacturing inventory control and prep coordination.

We are looking to hire a Full-Time Material Prep Technician I. The core hours for this position will be Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. The pay is $20.50/hour.

Challenge Yourself – The Specifics:

  • Ensures BOMs are accurate: parts, quantities, Unit of Measure (UOM), description, assembly instructions
  • Research discrepancies/adjustments found via counts
  • Safe operation of the chop saw used in the preparation of raw materials
  • Communicates to management the status of daily prep
  • Assists management with answering customer service requests in a timely manner
  • Provides recommendations on how to improve processes, procedures and general efficiencies and effectiveness of the function
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures, utilizing all required safety equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

You Have a Unique Combination of Skills, Talents and Mindset, Including Many of the Following:

  • High school diploma/GED, or equivalent experience and training are typically required
  • One year of manufacturing/distribution environment, quality assurance, assembly, testing, or experience working in an environment using hands tools and equipment required
  • MS Office (Word, Excel), software systems, and Fishbowl Inventory is a plus
  • Excellent listening and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, be driven, work well both independently and collaboratively, and have a knack for problem solving
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic machinery or equipment, preferred
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, kneel and reach to perform work for extended periods of time
