Position Overview

Ulrich is hiring a Sales Support Specialist for our Design Center.

Customers come to us looking to design and purchase sheds, workshops, man caves, and other backyard structures. We partner garage inquiries with our Garage Division for specialized support.

You will respond to inquiries from phone, website, and social media, greet walk-in customers, and qualify leads before connecting them with our Designers to complete the project.

Ulrich generates customer interest through online marketing, social media, and showroom traffic - this role primarily works with inbound leads rather than cold calling.

Expected Earnings

$45,000 – $83,000+ per year (base + bonuses)

Base Salary: $31,200 – $41,600 depending on experience

Performance-Based Bonus Opportunities

High performers who consistently convert leads and schedule qualified appointments can earn toward the top of the range.

What You'll Do
  • Respond to customer inquiries from phone, website, and social media
  • Greet walk-in customers at the Design Center
  • Ask questions to understand the customer's project, timeline, and goals
  • Present Ulrich's products and help customers explore their options
  • Enter customer information and notes into our CRM
  • Schedule appointments with Designers for detailed project consultations
  • Follow up with interested customers and missed appointments
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming showroom environment
What We're Looking For
  • Sales or customer-facing experience preferred (retail, inside sales, or service environments)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to guide conversations and identify customer needs
  • Comfortable using computers, CRM systems, and Google Workspace
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Interest in helping customers bring their backyard projects to life

Work Location & Schedule

Location: Harrisonburg, VA (in-person role)

This position works a 5-day schedule each week, including one Saturday.

  • Store hours are Monday – Saturday: 9AM-6PM
  • Team members work scheduled shifts within these hours
  • Sunday is always off
  • One additional weekday off is provided each week

Schedules are structured so team members share coverage during operating hours.
