Job description

Position Overview:

ATCO Frontec is currently seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator/Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong scheduling and coordination skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven customer-focused approach to client relationship management.

In this role, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to Project Manager, coordinating maintenance activities, scheduling resources, tracking materials, and ensuring timely communication with clients and stakeholders.

This is a 9-month term position, working full-time, in-office located in Calgary, Alberta, with no hybrid work option available. Occasional travel may be required to project sites throughout Alberta to support project execution and client requirements.

Experience in an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) service organization is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Assign maintenance work orders to technicians and ensure timely completion.

  • Schedule equipment maintenance and service activities in accordance with maintenance plans and client requirements.

  • Order required materials and parts to support maintenance and repair work.

  • Coordinate and book technicians once materials are received and ready for installation or maintenance work.

  • Provide regular updates to clients through ITMRS regarding scheduling, work progress, and task completion status.

  • Upload service reports, inspection reports, and completion documents to SharePoint and other designated systems.

  • Maintain clear and professional communication with clients regarding maintenance activities, schedules, and any service-related concerns.

  • Handle day-to-day operational communications between clients, technicians, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of work orders, materials, schedules, reports, and maintenance documentation

  • Support Project Manager in any other task assigned.

Qualifications:

  • EIT or working toward EIT in Mechanical or Electrical technology with 3-5 years' of experience or Journeyman certificate as a plumber, HVAC Technician or Electrician with 3-5 years of experience. 

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Mechanical service project coordination and Scheduling.

  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check and obtain Government Security Clearance.

  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.

  • Self-motivated and proactive in problem-solving.

  • Proficient computer skills.

  • Experience in Databases and electronic file management software

  • AB class 5 (Non GDL) driver's license required
