Job description

Your Contribution

As a Maintenance Electronic Technician reporting to the Maintenance Area Supervisor, you will be responsible for repairs and maintaining machinery and mechanical and electrical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, control systems and equipment, circuitry, field wiring, and production machines and equipment.  

  • Assemble and test motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components.
  • Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Modify electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations under direction of Electrical Engineer.
  • Develop wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications or expansion, and direct personnel performing routine installation and maintenance duties.
  • Plan and record periodic electrical testing, and recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards
  • Troubleshoot and repair controls, automation components, sensors, motors, control drives, PLC programs, etc.
  • Repair or replace defective parts. Install special functional and structural parts in devices.  Lubricates and cleans parts.
  • Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.

Your Experience & Qualifications

Two year Associate's Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology with emphasis on industrial automation or Associate's Degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school majoring in Industrial Maintenance Technology,  Plus three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MAHLE Electronic Theory Exam and/or a standard mechanical aptitude test is required.
